FAQ
-
One lesson takes 25 minutes.
25 minutes in the water can already be very intense for your child as our lessons are always one-on-one or in duo.
-
During the trial lesson we will determine the appropriate start Wave for your child based on his skills and age.
-
We provide only high quality private lessons (one-on-one or in duo). Because of this approach we can book faster progress. We have designed our own method in 3 waves, based on years of experience.
-
When introducing the swimming techniques in wave 3, we focus mainly on breaststroke.
Many public swim schools start only with backstroke and crawl. We opt to introduce the 3 swim techniques simultaneously, but with a main focus on breaststroke. Breaststroke is the most difficult technique, so once your child masters this stroke, crawl and backstroke are easy to learn. The reverse is much more difficult.
-
It is very important that your child has the minimum age of 3,5 years to start learning swimming techniques. Before this age, your child is not ready yet for arm/leg coordination. Also, we find it crucial that your child has a solid base (no fear of the water, can float independently in the back and belly, can swim underwater, etc.) before introducing the swimming techniques. If your child does not possess the correct base, then learning the swimming techniques takes much more time.
-
Yes. Zilt offers a free trial lesson for every child. During the trial lesson we determine the start wave for your child and the course of the next lessons.
-
There is no minimum or maximum number of lessons. Once your child possesses the skills of a wave and has the appropriate minimum age, he/she can start in the next wave. For some children this can be very quick, but other children need a little more time and that and that completely fine.
-
No, you don’t have to search a ‘swimming budy’ for your child. We match your child to another child (same age and swim level) for the duo lessons.
Off course, if you have a preferred ‘swim budy’ for your child or brothers/sisters can swim together.
-
We will guide your child through all of the milestones and waves at its one pace. If your child is afraid of the water, then we will help him overcome his fear with gentle guidance.
